Earthy Nail Polish “Stop Hate U.K.” Collection (Swatch and Review):

Hello lovely readers! Today I am very excited to be bringing you a blog post featuring the brand Earthy Nail Polish for the very first time on my page. Earthy Nail Polish a boutique brand based in Birmingham, England. Their polishes are vegan friendly, cruelty free, 79% natural and free from 21 of the harmful chemicals commonly found in nail polishes. This collection is made in collaboration with the charity ‘Stop Hate U.K.’ which aims to challenge all forms of hate crime, to raise awareness and support those affected by hate crimes in the U.K. and Earthy Nail Polish will be donating 25% from each sale to the charity. This collection brings us four polishes all in a smooth crème formula, across a beautiful autumnal colour palette. Without further ado, let’s jump into the polishes.

Please Note: This is a paid collaboration with Earthy Nail polish, however I will still be giving my true thoughts and opinions. All polishes are shown topped with glossy topcoat unless otherwise specified.

‘Red Berry’

The first shade I have share is called ‘Red Berry’ which is a beautiful burnt red crème shade; there are definitely some orange and copper undertones. I found it really suited my skin tone and I actually ended up wearing this as a full manicure on all 10 of my nails. The application was great as well. These polishes have a slightly wider flat brush which made for a very easy application and also without getting too angular around the cuticle area, as I have a strong C-Curve to my nails and that’s often an issue for me. The formula itself was wonderful to work with too; it was a very creamy application, no pooling around the sides and stayed where it put it. It also self-levelled very well. This was almost a one-coaster on me but I was happy with two coats of opacity. I would like to note as well that it does look slightly orange on camera but in reality it has a more red-brown tone.

‘White Rose’

‘White Rose’ brings us a true plain white crème shade. Now, white polishes can always be a little hard to get right but from the many I have tried this formula definitely performed better than I was expecting. I found I had to paint this on slightly thicker to get the same coverage as I had with the other shades in this collection, but this still did not cause any pooling or flooding around the cuticles and did not affect drying time in between coats either. This shade didn’t self-level as well as I would have liked it to but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as some other white crème I’ve worked with before. I was still really happy with this shade at two coats and I think this would be a great used in nail art or as the base the sponge a gradient over.

‘Sand Dune’

The next shade in the collection is called ‘Sand Dune’ which is a warm toned, hazelnut-brown crème polish. This is a very interesting shade to me, I don’t own a lot of nude nail polish and they’re never usually the shades I reach for but I am always up trying them and stepping outside of my comfort zone. This is a very pretty autumnal shade, really reminding me of a piping hot eggnog latte on a cold afternoon. This shade applied like a dream, very smooth application similar to ‘Red Berry’ with no pooling around the sides, the polish stayed exactly where I put it and also self-levelled very well. This could have been a one coat polish as well but I was satisfied with two coats, just for extra opacity. My pictures might not do this shade justice as this shade did look beautiful in real life and would look even more stunning in direct sunlight.

‘BLM’

The final shade in this release is called ‘BLM’ an acronym which stands for ‘Black Lives Matter’. I really love the name of this polish because it really encompasses what this collection is truly about and drives home the message that Stop Hate UK and Earthy Nail Polish represents. This shade is a deep charcoal creme. I was so excited too swatch this shade; this autumn I have been absolutely loving black nail polish or maroons or blues that are so dark they look black or special finish black polishes! I just woke up one morning in September and needed to wear a black nail polish and I haven’t grown out of that mood ever since. The formula was actually thinner than I was expecting but regardless it was still very smooth and easy to work with, self-levelled very well and stayed where I put it. I was really happy with the opacity and the look I achieved in two coats with this polish and it’s probably my top pick from the collection!

And that’s the collection! The ‘Stop Hate U.K.’ collection from Earthy Nail Polish is available to purchase from earthynailpolish.com right now. I had such a great time swatching these polishes; they each have a wonderful formula, there are colours in this set that will look amazing and appeal to everyone and they’re absolutely perfect for nail art too! My mind has been absolutely racing with ideas for some beautiful manicures using this set ever since it arrived to me and you can sure bet those ideas will soon be making their way onto my Instagram feed very soon. But most importantly, this collection has been made to support such a necessary cause, here in the U.K. hate crimes are worryingly high and it made me very proud to swatch a collection that wants to raise awareness to this issue and make light of this charitable cause.

Thank you all so much for reading, let me know which polishes you liked the best by leaving a comment below and be sure to follow my Instagram for more swatches. 
