Nailed It ‘New Beginnings’ Trio: Swatch and Review.
Hello everyone! I am delighted to share with you all my swatches for the upcoming ‘New Beginnings’ Trio from Hawaii-based indie nail polish brand; Nailed It. These are three polishes full of shifting shimmer and plenty of sparkles to bring us all some beauties and joy coming into the start of the new year. I photographed all three polishes in indoor and outdoor lighting to help capture both the shifting shimmer and holographic sparkles so let’s get right in!
All swatches are shown in two coats and topped with the Glisten and Glow Fast Drying Topcoat.
‘Trust the Magic’
First is the shade ‘Trust the magic’. This is described as a turquoise blue base with an aurora shifting shimmer which transitions from copper to red and green, alongside a scattered holographic effect and holographic micro-flakies. If you know me then it will probably come as no surprise that this might be my favourite! I adore blue nail polish and this shade of beautiful! The copper shifting shimmer stands out so vividly against the base and really elevates the polish and I really enjoyed wearing this.
‘The Best is Yet to Come’
Next in the trio is the shade ‘The Best is Yet to Come’. This is described as a deep lavender base with an aurora shifting shimmer which transitions from coppery red to gold and green with a scattered holographic effect and holographic micro-flakies. Personally, I never usually gravitate towards lilac shades but I found this to be incredibly flattering on my skin tone and I think it will be flattering on many others too! This polish has a very strong glowing factor and it will be perfect for the upcoming spring.
‘Live Your Dream’
Finally is the shade ‘Live Your Dream’. This is described as a pewter base with an aurora shimmer which shifts from a coppery red to gold and to green, alongside a scattered holographic effect and holographic micro-flakies. If you are unsure, the colour pewter is a dark shade of grey. This shade definitely felt out of my comfort zone but in the best way possible! It’s such an interesting shade and I honestly have nothing like this in my collection and in my opinion, the holographic sparkles stand out the most in this shade.
And that’s the trio! All three are such delicate shades and have a very strong glowing element on the nail and I had no problem removing the shimmer or glitter, I know my photos don’t show the holographic effect very well but believe me, it’s definitely there! This was also my first time trying any polishes from Nailed It and I would highly recommend them. The formula was smooth and easy to work with and with the wide paddle brush, application was easy too.
If you are ordering from the Nailed It own website, these will be available to preorder from the 1st of January and will launch on the 10th of January at 5pm EDT. They will retail for $12.50 each or $35 for the whole set. If you’re in the UK these will be available via the stockist Rainbow Connection; on the 10th of January at 4pm BST and each polish will retail for £11.50.
I hope you enjoyed my swatches and thoughts and thank you so much for reading!
